The Environmental Health and Safety Oversight Committee (EHSOC) serves as a resource to the University on matters of environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance. The EHSOC is comprised of a broad cross-section of representation from schools and departments, chairs of EHS regulatory university committees and chairs of individual school/department safety committees. This committee receives reports from chairs of these committees regarding relevant EHS compliance and management issues.

Vanderbilt Environmental Health and Safety (VEHS) monitors the regulatory environment and reports on issues to the committee that may impact University operations. VEHS also presents an annual University-wide EHS compliance report for review and discussion.
